PDF Pro by CG is an Android app for viewing, editing, converting and printing PDF documents. This policy describes data handling in version 0.8.4. Information about the distributor and its contact details is available on the official Google Play listing for PDF Pro by CG (fr.pdflocal.app).
Documents and on-device processing
You choose which files to open using the Android file picker, “Open with” or Android sharing. Opening a file requested by another app requires your confirmation before it is read. File access uses Android file permissions, without requesting broad storage access. Document contents and changes are processed locally in memory. Reading, editing, conversion, and French/English OCR work offline with locally available files. According to the policy included in version 0.8.4, the app does not request Internet access permission and does not send your documents to its developer.
Data collection and sharing
The app does not create user accounts, advertising identifiers, document histories or usage profiles. According to the policy included in version 0.8.4, it contains no advertising, telemetry or analytics tracking. The developer does not collect documents or their contents through the app.
Saving, conversion and printing
“Save as” writes the resulting file only to a location you select. A password can be used to encrypt a protected PDF copy using AES-256; saving an unprotected copy requires explicit confirmation. Other export formats are not encrypted. If you save to a synchronized storage provider, that provider may transfer files under its own settings. Printing deliberately sends a copy to your selected Android print service and printer, which may retain queues or other data subject to their policies.
Retention and deletion
According to the policy for version 0.8.4, the app does not keep temporary copies of your documents in app storage. The session remains in memory until you close it or Android ends the process; unsaved changes are then lost. Public OCR language models may be stored in the app’s private space and are removed when its data is cleared or it is uninstalled. Exported files remain where you chose to save them; you may delete them using a file manager or your storage provider.
Languages and preferences
The interface supports French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. On Android 12, language preference is saved locally without document data or automatic backup. On Android 13 and later, the system handles the app language. Switching languages closes the current session, so save changes first.
Security measures and limitations
According to the policy included in version 0.8.4, PDF processing and editing use an isolated process, while OCR runs in the interface process. Identified Java diagnostics in certain libraries are disabled to reduce the risk of document text appearing in logs. Automatic app-data backups are disabled. Android system components, file providers, keyboards and print services have their own behavior. Absolute absence of traces or guaranteed physical erasure of memory cannot be promised. Visibly removing or editing text is not secure redaction.

Updates to this policy
